The Number 23

Today is June 7, 2008, and we watched the movie "The Number 23". Mike was thoroughly bored about 14 minutes into the film (not 23 minutes). Lots of blood, an attempt at being spooky, and we enjoyed ourselves by making up ways to make the movie more interesting...like the book was written by the wife's old boyfriend to try to get rid of the husband so the old bf could get her back. Mike made sure to note that 6/7/2008 is 23: 6 + 7 + 2 + 0 + 0 + 8, so we were 'destined' to watch it today, right?

To offset the "23 enigma", let me just note:

1. There are more than 23 letters in my name... there are 24 (or 6 if we add 2+4).
2. Using Pythagorean numerology, my first name adds up to 36 (or 9), not 23.
3. My middle name adds up to 29 (or 11), not 23.
4. The other one adds up to 20 (or 2), not 23.
5. Last name adds up to 37 (or10), not 23.
   
6. My birthday (leaving out the '19' part) adds up to 22 (or 4), not 23.
7. My social security number adds up to 51 (or 6)...there are no multiples of 23 in 51.
8. My phone number adds up to 22 (or 4), not 23.
9. My cell number adds up to 36 (or 9), not 23.
10. I was going to try to go rambling on for a total of 23 items, but I'm just too bored.
11. Oh! Wait! I found one! If you add up the summed values of my names (9+11+2+10) you get 32, which is 23 backwards!
