Creedmoor, NC

At 4:15pm Friday, Mom and I started out for Creedmoor, NC, to help a friend pack up her house. It took us 1.5 hours to go 22 miles, and another hour to go 27 miles after that. Then things got better.
South of Richmond, VA, there is this crazy highway intersection that is built waaaaaaay up in the sky. There doesn't seem to be a reason for these overpasses to be soooo high. Always amazes me.

The daylight is almost gone and we're still about an hour away from Creedmoor. Mom hates this part of the road at night..very tunnel-like, dark, creepy.
On the way home though, the road was beautiful!

During our trip, we saw license plates from Manitoba, Quebec, Nova Scotia, MA, MD, NC, NY, VA, PA, AK, AL, DE, SC, MO, KS, ME, DC, CA, CO, IL, NH, TX, IA, NJ, OH, WV, RI, IN, AZ, WI, TN, FL, UT, KY, ND, MI and ID...34 states! I think that's a personal record for the I95 corridor.

Sounds like quite the trip. Our family likes to check out the license plates, too! Fun.
