Makeup basics for busy moms

The above-linked article by Susan Wagner on ParentDish has a few tips on how super-busy moms can take of themselves QUICKLY.

1) In you want to skip makeup, you HAVE to take care of your skin. Wear sunscreen every single day. You have a few choices with Mary Kay products: you can wear the SPF 30 Sunscreen (Oil-free, for face and body); or you can double-up on your benefits by choosing Anti-Aging Moisturizer with SPF 15; you can triple-up by choosing Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 20.

2) Wear mascara - it makes your eyes look more awake. Choose black for the most impact; coat only the top lashes if you want a clean look. Replace your mascara every 8 to 12 weeks to help keep your eyes healthy.

3) A pink blush can help you look more awake and rested. Start with a light application by smiling big and applying only to the apple of the cheek (the roundest part). Mary Kay has several pink shades to choose from: Cherry Blossom, Pink Petals, and Strawberry Cream.

4) Lipgloss is quick and goes well with sunglasses and a ponytail. Summer looks call for pinks or bronzes, fall calls for peaches and golds, and winter calls for reds and purples.

5) Never sleep in makeup...wash up before bed.

I just wear concealer and powder (depending on how many blemishes I have!), blush, mascara, and lip balm. It rarely takes me more than five minutes to do my makeup, which is a benefit on those mornings when I hit snooze a few too many times. :) Good tips!
