Pass the popcorn

Time spent wasted this weekend watching the idiot box:

• "Criminal" - pretty boring with a nice twist in the last 90 seconds. 1.5 stars of 5
• "The Jacket" - bizarre. 1.5 stars of 5
• "The Seeker - The Dark is Rising" - much better than the reviews had lead me to believe. I love this Susan Cooper series. I understand the movie is only loosely based on the book, but it wasn't that bad at all. Some very nice effects, and the acting was fine. 4 stars of 5
