Whew, it isn't December 20 yet. Nor even November 20.

Today's stupid news article on CNN:
Did you know you can send live alligators through the U.S. Postal mail?

CNN says that alligators must be shorter than 20 inches to be legally sent in the mail.

Why are we allowing live animals to be sent in the mail? What do the poor creatures eat while in transit? What about water? Given the unreliable nature of the USPS, those animals could be without food or water for 5-7 days! YOU try that. While you're at it, try it while staying inside a box that's sealed.

I'm not really an animal rights extremist, but I do think that mailing an animal exceeds common sense.
